These books sound amazing! Normally I only like the sound of 2 or 3 on the annual longlist but this year every single book sounds so interesting and diverse! I cannot wait to see which ones will be added to the shortlist and then one will eventually win!

The shortlist will be announced 13th September, each shortlisted author receives £2,500 and a specially bound edition of their book. The winner is then announced 25th October at a black-tie dinner! With the winner then receiving a further £50,000.
